Yesterday I picked up lots of copies of Chill from our awesome printers. Kickstarter copies should start shipping this week.
Just in case you’re wondering where Michelle and I – and more importantly, copies of our books, including Chill 3rd Edition – will be during GenCon 2015. Kickstarter backers can pick up their rewards in Marriott Ballroom 7 from 10AM to 8PM. More details at the Kickstarter update here.
Wednesday: Running a game of Chill for our Indianapolis Regional Coordinator backers.
Thursday: From 3PM to 6PM I’ll be at the Indie Game Developer Network booth. That’s booth 734, it’s right near Indie Press Revolution. I’ll be happy to talk about Chill, sell you books, sign books, and hear about your characters. From 8PM to Midnight, I’ll be running Beast: The Primordial in the Downtown Marriott, ballroom 9. The game is full, but you never know. Show up with tokens and see if a slot opens!
Friday: From 10AM to 2PM I’ll be running Chill at the Indie Game Developer Network’s game HQ (Downtown Marriott ballroom 7, which is a really good place to stop and see a bunch of awesome games in action). Again, it’s sold out, but that doesn’t always mean anything. At 3PM, I’m on the What’s Up with the New World of Darkness? panel for Onyx Path Publishing, in Crowne Plaza Central Ballroom D. From 5PM to 6PM, I’ll be at booth #1103 (Onyx Path) to sign books and talk about World of Darkness stuff (but I’ll probably talk about Chill if you ask me, too). From 6PM to 8PM, I’ll be at the IGDN Game HQ (Marriott Ballroom 7, remember) to sign books and talk about Chill (but if you ask me about World of Darkness stuff, I’ll probably talk about it, too).
Saturday: From 2PM to 6PM, I’ll be running curse the darkness at the IGDN Game HQ. Again, game’s sold out, but show up if you want to play and we’ll see what we can do.
Sunday: From 10AM to Noon-ish, I’m running Clay-o-Rama. Yeah, the one where you make monsters out of Play-Doh and make them fight. Sold out, might still have slots, etc. That’s in the ICC Family Fun Pavilion. And then from noon to 2PM, I’m in the IGDN booth (#734) doing Chill demos.
If I haven’t said where I’m going to be during a time, it’s because I’m a) playing in a game somewhere or b) unaccounted for and will probably be eating. Downtown Marriott Ballroom 7 is a pretty good place to look for me.
Wednesday: Michelle will be at the IGDN Social at Loughmiller’s. Come have a drink with a lot of awesome game designers!
Thursday: Michelle’s in the booth (#734) from 10AM to 11AM, and then again from 1PM to 3PM. And then at 8PM, she’s running A Tragedy in Five Acts in the IGDN Game HQ (Marriott ballroom 7). Again, sold out, but show up if you feel lucky.
Friday: Michelle is in the booth from 5PM to 6PM.
Saturday: Michelle is in the Game HQ (Marriott ballroom 7) from 10AM to Noon, signing books, talking about Tragedy, and probably happy to answer questions about our upcoming projects like Daedalus. And then she’s in the booth (#734) from 1PM to 6PM, which is a pretty long stretch. Come by, say hi, buy books.
Sunday: Michelle’s in the booth again (#734) from Noon to 2PM – same time as I’m demoing! Come listen to our clever, married-couple banter.
Other Associated Folks:
We’re not the only ones running Chill at GenCon this year. Cheyenne Wall-Grimes of Glittercats Fine Amusements is running Chill on Thursday at 10AM. Jonathan Lavallee (a contributing author for Chill) of Firestorm Ink is running Chill Thursday and Friday at 2PM. All of those games are in Marriott Ballroom 7, the IGDN Game HQ.
Cheyenne is running Chill again on Friday at 2PM, but that one is in the JW Marriott, room 306.
Now the bad news: Again, all of those games are sold out. But, again, I see it happen very often that someone doesn’t show, so if you have time for those games (they’re all 4 hours long), show up to a session with generics and hope someone doesn’t make it, and you can jump on in!
